Many of families we support have found it very difficult with loss of employment and reduced income, we looking to support these families in grants for grocery vouchers.
Fersands & Fountain Community Project received £2,000 to provide food vouchers for 30 families that were struggling due to loss of employment and reduced income. They also highlighted the positive use of the local playpark by providing play equipment and picnic lunches, once it was safe forunder 12s to play together. Youth workers attended twice weekly to build relationships and encourage safe play.
Thank you to the Lord Provost Charitable Trust. Their grant made a big difference at a difficult time. They helped us give grocery vouchers to over 100 families who were really struggling. It offered direct support to the families when they were in need and also showed that people were thinking of them. In the summer weeks the fund paid for Picnics in the park to around 60 children and families Playing at the Ferrier Crescent Park. This activity again showed families there were people there willing to help and brought some joy at a time when everything seemed gloomy. All done while spreading a message of covid Safety.
